Brentwood School - Brentwoodian 2020

65 This has been both a very enjoyable and successful year for the swimming team, with major achievements throughout the entire season. The team has worked extremely hard and has continued to be as dedicated as it can be. The team enjoyed victory in the District Championships for the 15th consecutive year, with the girls’ team victorious in every year group. This year also saw us winning every MESSSA League fixture that we competed in and the junior team dominating their age group in a number of galas. However, this year's highlight has to be the intermediate boys’ team of Tom Brown, Josh White, Angus Robertson and Jacob Stephen, who competed in the ESSA National Finals and finished 15th in the country! Their hard work and commitment to swimming has been astounding this year and we are all very proud of them. There have also been a number of school records broken in both the junior and senior events, which just goes to show the effort that the team has put in. Unfortunately, during the end of the season the team has not been able to continue with normal training and fixtures, but we have carried on working hard in preparation for the coming season. I would like to thank members of the team for their efforts and Mrs Watson for continuing to push us and help us reach our full potential through demanding training sessions. I also hope that the team can get back in the pool soon and carry on making great achievements as they always have. By Jamie Hammond Swimming
