93 Field Day also gave us the opportunity to say goodbye to our Senior NCOs; the Section would not operate as efficiently as it does without their commitment. I am sorry that we could not show our appreciation to them as we normally do, however, their contributions will not be forgotten. I am grateful for all the support the cadets and staff have received from: CWO Arin Chandrruangphen, Flight Sergeants Jodie Bradley and Matthew Goodwin and Sergeants Tom Davenport, Ryan Fedi, Rishi Gadikoppula, Lawrence Hampson, Alfie Hart, Valentin Ivanov, Toby Kidd, Henry Sessions and Robbie Woolterton; their collective and individual contributions have all made a positive impact, thank you. It only remains for me to thank my team of ever-reliable officers; Sqn Ldr Karen Crane, Fg Off’s Jenny McLeod and Keith Gray and APO Grace Cutbill. The Section would not be as successful as it is without their continued hard work and support. We welcomed Sqn Ldr Tim Cope into the Section this year and look forward to him bringing his experience and good humour to the training at Brentwood. We have also been blessed with the support of the teaching staff who have been steadfast supporters throughout the year and for that, I am very grateful. The RAF motto, ‘Per Ardua ad Astra’, ‘Through Adversity to the Stars’, has been even more relevant this year as we all work through challenging times and adjust to a new normal.
